b) You are required to find an organization in the UAE, interested in winning the Sheikh Khalifa or Dubai Quality award. You must interview a representative of that organization in order to find information that will help with the application to the award. The interview must be transcribed. You are going to write a report for that organization (your assignment).
c) This Assessment carries 30% of the total course marks. This will be broken down into 20% report followed by 10% Individual Oral Defence Interviews. The interviews will take the form of 5 questions related to the content of the group report (3 for CLO 3 and 2 for CLO 2)

PROJECT GUIDELINES
You have been hired as an Independent Auditor for the purpose of applying for an Excellence Award in the UAE. As your principal responsibility, you are required to carry out an evaluation of the current situation, and propose recommendations and strategies to meet the requirements leading to winning the award. You must also discuss the most urgent improvements needed.

Task Instructions: You have to write a report to the manager or representative of the organization about the strategies for achieving and measuring business excellence that will allow that organization to apply for the award.

1. Understand the Organisation
a. Summarise what the organization does. Summarise how the organisation operates. Analyze its organizational structure and its suitability for achieving business excellence. (CLO 4.1: 10%)

2. Analyze customer supplier relationships

4. Conclude on the feasibility and implementation of the plan
a. State the main areas where most urgent improvement is needed. Comment on the feasibility of winning the award in the short or medium term. Evaluate the challenges for implementing excellence models. Discuss (CLO 3.5: 15%)
b. Develop a strategy for measuring business performance in this context. (CLO 4.5: 5%)
5. Discuss the following activities in the discussion forum:

6. Report Guidelines
The report should be professional style, approximately 2500-3,000 words and should follow the Written English and Formatting Marking Criteria for Project below. The report must contain appendices, application form duly filled, transcription of interview with the representative of the organization and other relevant information.

The report must be uploaded via SafeAssign as a single document and in full, including cover page, table of contents, main report body, references, and any appendices. Marking will be based on the uploaded document. File names must be “Section Number_Organisation name.docx”.
