            Tennis world is an e-commerce business company dealing with all sorts of tennis merchandise you can think of; this is ranging from tennis balls, tennisrackets, tenniswear, tennis video instructions and any other accessories you can think of that is associated with the sport. Tennis world aims to be a leader in the market for all the tennis merchandise not only in the U.S but to the rest of the world too. Inrecent times there have been instances of internet companies failing but we as Tennis world intend to venture, survive and grow in the e-commerce world. We have a mission to offer our tennis merchandize using the internet as our key marketing tool. We also intend to reach a wide range of customers the young and the old with no barrier whatsoever since the internet is accessible all over the world. We intend to make our sites the place where everyone loves to visit and want to find out more and more of what is on offer in our company (Mplans.com, 2012). Tennis world intends to create sites that everyone wants to visit and offer incredible prices and discounts that will leave our customers wanting to buy more. We intend to maintain our customers and strive to be not just the best but the best of them all in the industry.

Market summary

            Our target market is a very vast one that ranges from individuals who have minimum requirements to other large companies with more expensive and solid orders. To achieve this we intend to look at our market and divide it into various segments that we hope to reach so that we can be able to address the needs of each and every intended customer. When it comes to demographics our intended markets tends to cover a large variety of intended customers with no specific focus on gender, race, age, employment status or even location. We intend to reach as many people as possible who will cut across all this lines of demographics they will be both the young and old, men and women, the white and black those who are employed or unemployed and people all over the world since no physical presence or interaction with clients is required. Everything in our sites can be settled online that includes payment and technical support hence the geography of our intended customers will cover countries al over the world. On the basis of psychographics we intend to reach those who have the interest of tennis at heart, this are main actual tennis players and those who love the game but do not know how to play and would like to know. The way the different people in our market segments react is different from each other  therefore we will divide our customers according to the level of the complexity of what they want; the basic level of our customers will be those who  basic merchandise and are individual customers, the second level is for those customers with intermediate level orders and they might be companies that are looking for sites for their business when they buy our merchandise wince they will buy and go ahead to rebrand our merchandise to suite them for instance companies that are sponsors of tennis  teams or tournaments. Lastly the third levels of orders from our customers arethose high profit segments that are represented by very large companies or other businesses, public or even political entities (Kurdina, 2010).

 

 

Marketing strategies

To achieve our marketing strategy we will apply the for P’s of internet marketing that are product, this will entail the awareness creation of our products that we offer, place that will inform our customers on how and when the ordered products can  reach them, promotion which shows more detailed information on the products and why the customers should buy from us and finally price which will show all the prices we offer for the specific merchandize and any special offers or discounts that are available. We intend to use a wide variety of strategies we will apply on the internet as well as other digital technologies that will ensure that we reach our marketing objectives. These include the use of display and media advertisements such as online videos, banners, flash games. We will also use referrals, email-marketing, online catalogs, online chats, viral marketing all as part of the advertisements. Another strategy that we will use is social media like Facebook and twitter; we intend to gain followers and fans through this social network who will translate to buyers eventually .another strategy we intend to use is blogging, this is an amazing tool that we will use to help us get traffic from search engine stand up point as well as to enable us connect us to customers and potential customers (Bustos, 2011).       Through the blogs we will be bale to add any content that might not be bale to be added on our website that will be used to create many different pages and optimize it for different key words and phrases. Finally we will use a search engine optimization which is very crucial as it will have a big impact on the bottom line. We intend to make our online marketing a place where everyone will be attracted and hence visit regularly and often those who visit our sites or follow our links are people who will eventually translate to sales. These marketing strategies will be grouped into three divisions which are enticing people to visit especially those who are not customers through search engine registration, pay-per click and online advertising. The second category is converting those who visit into customers through in-site promotions, sales or special offers and finally the third category is site effectiveness that will include enticing appropriate visitor behavior, after sale marketing and building of relationship among others (Web transitions,2012).

 

Summary

To ensure that we become the leader in the tennis merchandise all over the world we will adhere to our objectives. We will offer our products at reasonable and fair prices and accompany them with numerous discounts and special offers. We will also make sure that our sites are visited regularly by making them attractive and catchy. We will use the intended online marketing strategies but apply them in bits and not all of them at the same time. We will ensure that all our plans fall in place especially when it comes to how we will implement the marketing strategies. We will use one strategy at a time give it  a time frame of one week and gauge whether it is effective or not so that to make a decision on whether or not to drop it or continue using it. With all this we are sure that we will make it in the e-commerce world.
