You have studied three different therapies – Behavioural therapy, Cognitive Behavioural therapy and Person Centred Therapy and the treatments associated with these. Briefly identify the key theorist for each approach, and explain the main concepts/core principles common to each approach. You will need to choose a case study and explain how each theory would see the person. How would the theory explain the difficulties the person has, how they have developed those difficulties and how they would get over them.
Discuss the ethical implications raised by each approach.
Explain how the therapy would be conducted – be specific – what techniques would be used and why; what outcome would there be?
Explain which approach/therapy would be the best. You need to show why it would be the best and why you would not choose one of the others. If you decide a combination of therapies would be the best, again you need to explain why and show why a single therapy would not be chosen.
