Following the Iowa model of evidence-based practice, the student will first develop a clinical question that can be answered using research evidence and explain its importance to patient care. After posing the clinical question in the PICO/PIO format, a literature search using keywords from the clinical question will assist the student to obtain 4-5 research articles to critique and synthesize for use in practice. The student will then develop and describe the implementation of a pilot EBP project to put the research evidence into clinical practice.
