Problem Statement:
Long Island Regional Psychiatric Center, a 300 bed psychiatric center, has an increase upper respiratory infection of 25% from last year.
Respiratory tract infection remains among the most common type of infections in the society. In particular, upper respiratory infection accounts for majority visits to
doctors among members of our society. As a cause for concern on the quality of care services offered by psychiatric centers, records have it that upper respiratory
infection is among the leading form of outbreaks affecting psychiatric centers in our society (Muller & Detsky, 2010).

The rationale of consideration a research on the subject of increased upper respiratory infection rates at Long Island Regional Psychiatric Center is founded on the
fact that such an incident not only negate the very purpose of the center as a facility for sustaining health wellbeing among its clients but also that such remains a
cause of undue costs in the center (Sax et al., 2007).
