1. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

The example from Snow white would be where the evil lady was in the mirror expressed her power as the queen and was out to get Snow White, and her wish was to be the fairest of them all so she cast a spell on snow-white thinking this would make her the best. She disguised herself to give power over the prettiest girl of all. She wanted to be the beautiful lady that would be with the prince and live happily ever after with her dream guy. The old hag picks up the apple disguises herself with her power to set up and dominate over Snow White, the most beautiful lady in the fairy tale story that would be with the prince, and went it backfired on her, she fell off the limb and ended up dying. The old hag never returned, and the dwarfs thought that they killed her and when she woke up, they were astonished that she awoke, but the reason she woke up is that the prince kissed her and brought her back to life and the prince and Snow White lived happily ever after. This was a dominating scene that was an example of true love in a fairy tale of make-belief.

2. The Lion King

Sigma was told by his father not to go where the hyenas would be at, but he and his brother did not listen to his father, the King. He explained that he would be the King when he passed. Sigma and his brother disobeyed the King. His father ended up being in a den full of hyenas that were ready to attack Sigma. They were trapped and ready to be eaten by hyenas until Dad came to rescue Sigma, and then all the hyenas were roared away by Sigma’s father. Later that night, Sigma’s father explained you deliberately disobeyed me; you could have been killed, and he said I know that father. He also put Nala in danger. Sigma later alone and amid the herd, Mufasa was trying to save Sigma and would be then killed by his brother. It was like a negotiation cause the brother of Mufasa was there to convince Sigma that he was the cause of his fathers death and would tell him that it was his fault the reason why his father died, and he did not say to him that his father was asking for him to help him and he threw him off the ledge and killed him. 3. Beauty and the Beast

The Beauty and the beast was beautiful, she has the right kind of idea about love and the attempt to ignore the Prince and the beast takes out to cast spells out of the land and he tries to find his was to Ella to give her roses. Belle was trying to escape from the beast

4. Identify at least one criticism of portrayals of race or gender in Disney’s animated films, and give at least one an example from one of the films discussed above.  How would you rewrite that example (or the whole film) to correct this issue
5. Identify a positive message or progress made in representations in ANY Disney animated film.  Give at least one example and discuss. Do you think the criticism of Disney’s portrayals of race & gender has been fair?  Why or why not?
